The earthy scent of rain hung heavy in the air, making everything seem dreary even after the clouds had parted to allow the sun to shine through once again. Cats who had taken shelter from the passing rain had just begun to come back out into the open, including a certain short-legged feline. Hazel eyes as round as saucers regarded the area around her with an almost childlike sense of wonder. It was pleasant, really. In fact, the stout feline found it rather calming, being wrapped up in the friendly smell of rain after a storm. But perhaps even better than the smell that came after a rain shower was the worms. Wiggling and writhing, they had fled the saturated dirt and now laid out in the open. They were fascinating creatures, really, and far more useful than they were given credit for. Their fun little tunnels helped water reach the roots of plants, and they helped let air reach them, too. But after rain like that, the worms migrated aboveground, where a curious tribe cat could reach them. Worm Wiggle's playful laughter could be heard all around, carefree and light as she pounced gleefully from worm to worm. She was careful not to accidentally injure any of the delicate creatures, making sure not to drop her paws too heavily onto any of them, but it was clear that she was having fun pretending to stalk one before leaping on top of it.

"Hiya Worm Wiggle! What are you up to?" Moving to where Worm Wiggle was having a fun time occupying herself, Chickadee would take a seat and watch the girl bounce around. She would have joined in, however, she was feeling more content just watching today. The rain had been a blessing, and as much as she hated getting herself muddy after the rain, she would not complain that the tribe of endless hunting had given them the rain they were in need of. It would surely mean good things for the hunters to go and find prey. After all, the prey would be moving more because of the cool weather it had brought them. They would have little reason to hide away in attempts to escape the heat of the summer months.

// welcome!!

So absorbed was she in her worm hunting adventures, Worm Wiggle hadn't even noticed her tribemate's approach. She only recognized that someone had seen her when the other feline spoke up, asking what she was up to. For a moment, Worm Wiggle thought that what she was doing was obvious—until she realized that it wasn't, in fact, obvious. From an outside perspective, she understood where the question came from. She probably looked silly, but that had never stopped her from doing such things before. Who cared how funny she looked, as long as she was having fun? "Hi," the short she-cat would respond a bit absently, distracted by the worm currently trapped beneath her paws. Once she was finished possibly scarring the poor creature for life, wide hazel eyes turned to focus on Chickadee. "Worms. They come out of the dirt when it rains, so it's fun to try and catch them. Aren't they funny looking?"

"Hi, Chickie! Hey Wigs!" Vitani would trot over to the pair cheerfully, the smile that adorned her face was as warm as the sun and kind. Her gaze was glowing with curiosity as she tilted her head, nose wiggling lightly as she leaned down towards one of the worms her tribemate had been pouncing on, "They are a little funny looking, where is its face?" Her eyes would widen like a kit as she looked to Worm Wiggle and Chickadee as if they held the answers, "I've never seen so many of them above ground before!"

Wigs. She loved that nickname, even if it sounded a bit strange. It felt nice to be given a nickname of any kind. When Vitani approached with a grin to match Worm Wiggle's own, the squat feline brightened up even more. The sun may have been partially obscured behind some clouds, but her tribemates' presence made her feel just as warm as if the sun was out. "Oh, hello!" She greeted the other she-cat with a flick of her tail, happy that Vitani seemed to share some sort of interest in the worms. She'd shrug at the question, however; she had no clue which end of the worm was its head. "I don't know. Both ends look the same. Maybe this end?" She motioned to one end of the worm at her paws, head tilting to the side as she inspected it. "Do you think they can hear us?"

At the question, Vitani would tilt her head further, looking rather comical as she pressed her cheek into the earth, causing it to smoosh lightly as her pupils dilated. A worm began to inch its way past her and she would delicately pat at it with her paw as she meowed, "I'm not sure. I wonder how we could test that out?" She would look between Chickie and Wigs as she spoke her question, "Do you think we could race them?" A rumble of laughter would flow from her throat as she straightened back up.

A yawn would stretch the maw of the short molly, a delicate pink tongue rolling within as she ambled with shut eyes. Nearing the end of jaw parting a noise of surprise would erupt from her. The brown detailed molly would leap back in surprise, quickly taking to inspecting her paw. "Oooh.." Little Flower would shiver as the feeling of something cold slipping between toes, where she'd see the source of a wiggling worm. It was still alive, she'd witness it blind fumble about her paw before she'd gently place it back onto the ground. "Please don't ever do that again.." She'd murmur to the creature as if it would understand her. Blue eyes would flicker up at the sounds of voices nearby her, she hadn't realized it on her way out. A kind smile would spring to her maw, a skip added to her small steps as she made her way over. "Morning Wormie! And Chickie-a-dee! And Viti!" Her optics would drop around to what the wavy-furred fawn molly was fidgeting with. "Oh! Well, I hope they can hear." The walnut stocking she-cat would muse as her head would turn over her shoulder to give a look back at the creature she had just had a discussion with. "I don't think they know where they're going, it almost got crushed!"
